Aircon Installation in Davao City

We install and relocate split-type and window-type aircon across Davao City. A standard split-type installation costs ₱2,500–₱6,000 in Davao depending on horsepower and piping length, including bracket mounting, flaring, vacuuming and testing — done properly, which is what decides whether your unit lasts twelve years or four.

A split-type aircon is only as good as its installation. Skipped vacuuming, sloppy flaring and undersized breakers are the quiet reasons so many two-year-old units in Davao already cool weakly or leak refrigerant. If you just bought a unit from SM Appliance, Abenson or a Lazada dealer, the installation is the one part you should not bargain-hunt.

What a proper installation includes — and what cheap installs skip

When an installer quotes suspiciously low in Davao, this checklist is usually where the difference hides:

  • Vacuum pump evacuation. The lines must be vacuumed before releasing refrigerant. Skipping it (the classic shortcut: purging with the unit’s own refrigerant) leaves moisture inside that corrodes the system from within.

  • Proper flaring and torque. Hand-tightened, badly flared connections are the number one source of slow refrigerant leaks — the reason units need "freon top-ups" every year.

  • Correct bracket and tilt. The indoor unit needs a slight tilt toward the drain; the outdoor unit needs a level, vibration-free mount that survives habagat rains and wind.

  • Drain routing that actually drains. In condos this must follow building rules — we route to the designated drain, not out the wall onto the neighbor’s aircon.

  • Electrical check. Confirming your breaker and wiring can carry the unit. A 2.5 HP unit on an overloaded circuit trips breakers and, worse, cooks wiring.

  • Commissioning test. Pressures checked, temperature drop measured, remote functions confirmed — with you watching.

What size aircon do you need in Davao?

Davao’s year-round heat and humidity sit at the demanding end of the sizing charts, so round up when in doubt. As a working guide: a small bedroom (up to ~12 sqm) needs 1.0 HP, a large bedroom or small sala (up to ~18 sqm) 1.5 HP, a standard condo studio 1.0–1.5 HP depending on sun exposure and glass, a living-dining area (up to ~30 sqm) 2.0–2.5 HP. West-facing rooms with afternoon sun, top-floor units under a hot roof, and rooms with large glass walls should size up half a horsepower.

Undersized units run continuously and never quite cool; oversized non-inverter units short-cycle and leave the room clammy. If you tell us the room size, floor and orientation, we will recommend a size honestly — including telling you when the smaller, cheaper unit is genuinely enough.

What’s included

  • Bracket mounting for indoor and outdoor unit

  • Copper piping, insulation and wiring up to standard length

  • Vacuum evacuation and leak check before commissioning

  • Drain routing per building rules

  • Commissioning test with measured temperature drop

Frequently asked questions

Can you install a unit I bought online or from a mall?

Yes — most of our installs are customer-supplied units from SM Appliance, Abenson, Western, or Lazada/Shopee dealers. Keep the receipt and warranty card; a professional installation with vacuum evacuation is required by most brand warranties.

Do you handle condo building requirements?

Yes. We prepare the work permit, insurance/ID requirements for your admin, and follow the building’s rules for outdoor unit placement and drain routing. Common Davao buildings and their quirks are familiar territory for our installers.

How long does an installation take?

A standard split-type install takes 2–4 hours. Relocations take longer because refrigerant must be recovered first and lines re-flared or replaced. We schedule so the unit is tested and cooling before the technician leaves.

Can you move my aircon to my new house?

Yes — relocation (₱3,000–₱6,500 typical in Davao) includes recovering the refrigerant properly, dismounting, remounting at the new location, new flares, vacuuming and recharge if needed. Moving a unit without recovering refrigerant kills compressors; do not let anyone "just unbolt it".

Is inverter worth the extra price in Davao?

For any unit running more than ~6 hours a day, almost always yes. Davao Light rates make the math straightforward: an inverter unit typically saves 30–50% on cooling electricity, which for a nightly-use bedroom often pays back the price difference within 1.5–2.5 years.
